In the year 2015, at age 19, she released her single, her debut. It went down a storm and was praised by fans and critics alike. It reached number 19 in both Billboard Hot 100 and the Canadian Hot 100. Even Rolling Stone named it among the best tracks of 2015. In that same year she debuted her album Know It All with the third track Scars to Your Beautiful being the first of five tracks which peaked on the Billboard charts. It also topped Billboard Hot 100 and the Canadian Albums Chart Billboard 200 as well as the Billboard Hot 100. The track is special due to her Rap-Up interview she conducted, many of those who heard her tracks could connect to her experiences of learning to love themselves while battling with her. Cara is well-known for her ability to incorporate songs about mental health, kindness and self-love in her songs. All of Cara's music stems directly from her struggle with mental illness and insomnia. According to an Reuters interview, she described the album as being half turbulent and half mastered. Therapy helped her grow and urges her fans to seek assistance if needed. Alessia Cara, a Canadian musician, was born in Canada on 11 July 1996. She was born to Italian parentage. When she was just 10 years old, her parents gifted her a guitar. This was the basis of her love for music. She began covering her favorite songs when she was 13 in order to show that world that she had the ability and confidence needed to sing.
